About CalcProTool

CalcProTool is a free online calculator platform built and maintained by Pratik and the CalcProTool Team, based in Helsinki, Finland. We provide 295+ calculators covering personal finance, tax, real estate, health, education, business, and everyday calculations — for users in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Europe.

Our Mission

We built CalcProTool because the best free calculators on the internet were either inaccurate, overloaded with advertising, or required sign-up to access basic tools. Our mission is straightforward: provide every calculation tool a person needs to make informed financial, health, and everyday decisions — accurately, for free, without registration, and without compromising on the quality of the underlying mathematics.

Financial and tax decisions have real consequences. A mortgage calculator that uses the wrong amortisation formula, or a tax calculator with outdated brackets, does not just produce a wrong number — it causes someone to make a worse financial decision. We take that responsibility seriously, which is why accuracy and annual maintenance are the highest priorities of everything we build.

Who We Are

Pratik

Founder & Lead Developer

📍 Helsinki, Finland

Pratik is a software engineer with a background in building data-driven web applications. He founded CalcProTool after finding that most online calculator sites either had poor accuracy, were covered in intrusive ads, or required registration to use basic tools. He leads all technical development, formula verification, and the annual tax rate update process.

Editorial & Accuracy Review

📍 Remote — Finland, EU

Our research team is responsible for verifying every formula used on CalcProTool against official sources — the IRS, HMRC, ATO, CRA, IRD, and relevant academic literature. Our Accuracy Standards

Formula Verification

Every formula used on CalcProTool is verified against at least two authoritative independent sources before publication. Financial formulas are cross-checked against standard actuarial and accounting references. Health formulas are verified against peer-reviewed clinical guidelines. Tax calculations are verified directly against government tax authority publications.

Annual Tax Rate Updates

Tax rates, thresholds, and allowances change every year. Our income tax, stamp duty, student loan, and pension calculators are updated on a fixed annual schedule: UK calculators are updated on 6 April each year when the UK tax year changes. Australian calculators are updated on 1 July each year. US and Canadian calculators are updated on 1 January. We publish the "Last Updated" date on every affected calculator page so you always know when rates were last verified.

Health Calculator Standards

Health calculators on CalcProTool use clinically validated equations from recognised medical authorities. Our BMI calculator uses the standard WHO classification. Pregnancy weight gain uses IOM (Institute of Medicine) guidelines. Blood pressure classification uses the 2017 AHA/ACC guidelines. Calorie calculations use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, which is the standard recommended by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Every health calculator includes a clear disclaimer recommending professional medical advice for personal health decisions.

Important Disclaimer

CalcProTool calculators are for educational and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional financial, tax, legal, or medical advice. Tax calculations are based on standard rates and do not account for individual circumstances, deductions, or exemptions that may apply to your situation. Always consult a qualified accountant, financial adviser, or medical professional for decisions that affect your personal finances or health.

Our Data Sources

We source all tax rates, health guidelines, and financial formulas directly from official government and international health authorities. We do not rely on third-party aggregators or secondary sources for rate data.

Privacy — Your Data Stays With You

Every calculation on CalcProTool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No data you enter into any calculator — including salary figures, loan amounts, health measurements, or personal details — is ever transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere. We cannot see what you calculate, and we do not want to.

We use anonymous, aggregated analytics (page views, geographic region, device type) to understand which calculators are most useful and to prioritise development. This data contains no personally identifiable information. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
